Just so there are no misunderstandings: the outcome of these polls will only affect releases after EasyBuild v1.3.0. 1) New name As we've discovered over the las couple of months, EasyBuild hasn't always been as easy for newcomers as we'd like it to be. To remedy this, we have decided to rename the EasyBuild project after the v1.3.0 release, to lower expectations for newcomers. After endless discussions, we were able to compose a list of possible names. To avoid (even) more fighting in the team, help us decide between these names. http://doodle.com/2f48xpnwt9i38mr3 2) New programming language We have run into too many bugs, and we blame the use of Python for most of them. So, we have decided to rewrite EasyBuild from the ground up, after 5 years of development.
