I think this is a bit counter-intuitive, since the tarballs come from upstream
sources while the patches are shipped via the easybuild feed stream.
(in fact, it forces extra keystrokes at the experimentation stage)
Picking the patch from the directory of the easyconfig as first-guess, IMHO,
is the preferred way to go. Ward, if you supply a PR that would be great!
