Hello EasyBuilders, We're proud to announce the release of EasyBuild v1.7.0, with several framework enhancements, adding support for another 15 new software packages and some minor bug fixes.
One striking characteristic of this release is that it includes a truly significant amount of contributions by 'external' developers. More specifically, two non-HPC-UGent developers added functionality to the EasyBuild framework [1], three other people either enhanced existing easyblocks or contributed new ones [2], and no less than 7 'external' people added new easyconfig files or tweaked existing ones [3]. Thank you very much to all of them, and keep it up! ;-) EasyBuild v1.7.0 passed a full regression test [4], with 1,631 successful builds, and is available via GitHub[5] and PyPi [6]. Enjoy!
