I would like to collect opinions of all-hands as regards:
ref. https://github.com/hpcugent/easybuild-easyconfigs/issues/488
ie. should we strive for drop-in compatibility among toolchains or,
it is too much of a hassle and, perhaps, an unattainable target?
In this case the debate is about mixing goolf and goolfc (+CUDA) builds,
yet the question mark may pop up again in the future.
