The problem is that EasyBuild failed to download the source tarball for pip v1.1, one of the extensions that is installed along with Python. It's unclear what the cause is, but maybe PyPi was down when you tried the build. The auto-downloading of sources done by EB is best effort, and hard to improve on since EB doesn't have control of external causes of failure. If you see something like this occurring, you can try and download the source tarball yourself manually, and move it to the location where EasyBuild looks for it. In your case, this would be /share/easybuild//src/p/Python/extensions The first path in the configured source path /share/easybuild/src is the location where EB will download sources to itself, but it looks in multiple other locations too (see end of the long list below).
