Hi, I believe the majority of the EasyBuild followers have been sitting on (a derivative of) RHEL6, which so far included an outdated and buggy version of environment-modules (<3.2.10).
The most annoying bug had been fixed by Kenneth, during summer 2012 (1.5 years ago!): * mysterious silent crashes; the more you use EB, the more often they would pop up (or pop-0 :) See below. As of yesterday, the repos are filling up with the updated RPMs and the errata is visible here: http://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHBA-2014-0327.html I guess that all of you affected would like the idea to stop patching env-modules manually. enjoy, Fotis ps. RHEL5 was fixed many weeks earlier via EPEL-provisioned RPMs. ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Red Hat Support <[email protected]> List-Post: [email protected] Date: Tue, Mar 25, 2014 at 2:00 PM Subject: (Waiting on Customer) Case #00987366 ([BZ] skip buggy environment-modules version 3.2.9 and provide 3.2.10) [ ref:00DA0000000HxWHMA0.500A000000GZXvZIAX:ref ] To: "[email protected]" <[email protected]>, "[email protected]" <[email protected]>, "[email protected]" <[email protected]> --------------------------------------- | Case Information | --------------------------------------- https://access.redhat.com/support/cases/00987366 Case Title : [BZ] skip buggy environment-modules version 3.2.9 and provide 3.2.10 Case Number : 00987366 Case Open Date : 2013-11-25 19:25:12 Most recent comment: On 2014-03-25 14:00:21, Krska, Filip commented: "Hi Fotis, let me inform you that the errata has been released: http://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHBA-2014-0327.html Please let us know if the rebased package works well in your use case.
