Hello,
Due to a mix of circumstances (just being back from a week of leave, and
being out of the office all day yesterday), I totally forget to
announce/set up the planned EasyBuild conf call yesterday (Tuesday April
16th 2014).
The last conf call two weeks ago was cancelled, so I strongly feel we
should try and set up a conf call this week rather than wait another two
weeks for the next one.
So, I propose to reschedule the next EasyBuild conf call for tomorrow,
Thursday April 17th 2014, 3PM CET.
One particular topic I would like to discuss is how we can better
organize the reviewing and testing of (particularly easyconfigs) pull
requests.
Currently, no less than 125 pull requests are open for contributions to
the easybuild-easyconfigs repository, and I'm (clearly) having trouble
finding enough time to review/test (and then finally merge) them in a
reasonable amount of time.
So, I would like to discuss how to organize things better, and hopefully
get some help to maintain the current two-pairs-of-eyes and testing
policy that has proven to help maintain a high quality set of easyconfig
files.
A big part of this is definitely automation, but in my view a pair of
human eyes will still be required for each PR (at least for a while).
More details on the EasyBuild conference calls are available at

regards,
Kenneth
