I dunno if you could run the build process inside a VM-alike-to-your-system
and then use --try-amend=skipsteps=bla1,bla2,bla3 ; in theory it could work,
but in practice these kind of operations are hackish with unknown result.

That may allow you potentially to create the whole tree of modules that
you care about, quite fast, and from there it’s just moving files around.
