Is it possible to filter EasyConfigs by the architecture of the system
running the eb script?
As we start bringing POWER and ARM platforms in, it would be nice to be
able to by default exclude packages that simply cannot install on those
architectures.
In addition, as I'm delving further into the IBM XL* compilers, I've run
into a problem where some of the binary packages are available on ppc64,
under one verison number but have a different version number for ppc64el
(little endian). Right now, there are RPMs for big endian, but DEBs for
little endian because IBM's supported ppc64le environment is Ubuntu 14.x.
It would be greatly helpful if we could identify the specific arch, and
filter out, say ppc64 rpm based builds on an ubuntu ppc64el system. (and
I'd also like to take a pass on the Intel compilers and their many child
packages and toolchains)
Would this be a feature request, or is it implementable with some better
knowledge of the EasyConfig setup?
Thanks,
