To further clarify, in light of the many threads that already exist about Intel 2016:
I am interested in the general task of converting already installed components into modules that can be re-used by easy_build as dependencies in to-be- installed new software. The reason why I would that, would be to avoid having to rebuild/install dependencies that are already ready to be used. I used Intel Parallel Studio 2016 as an example, but it could also pertain to other toolchains.
