[easybuild] Problems upgrading to eb 2.7.0

Hi,
I attempted to upgrade to easybuild 2.7.0

python -V
Python 2.6.9

pip install
--install-option="--prefix=/hpc-common/software/easybuild/2.7.0" easybuild

which eb
/hpc-common/software/easybuild/2.7.0/bin/eb

eb -h
/usr/bin/python2: No module named easybuild.main

How do I correct this? Where should easybuild.main be installed?
