Hi,

I try to install Cuda using easybuild. it fails the sanity checks :( Most
likely I am missing an instruction.

I am trying with the easyconfig CUDA-7.5.18.eb in EB 2.8.2. Looking through
the logs it seems that it doesn’t install a driver. There is a remark in the
logs that this would need doing as root (reference to sudo). Should I install
pieces as root prior to running the EB cuda easyconfig? If so, what should I
do as root and what ill the easyconfig do for me?

As far as I know, the CUDA easyconfig will only install the CUDA runtime libraries. But I don't have much experience with GPGPU systems, so maybe someone else can correct me.

Since the driver is closely tied to the hardware you're using, and needs admin privileges, EasyBuild indeed doesn't take care of that.

Sorry for asking so many questions lately.

That's what this mailing list is for, no need to apologize. :-)
