Thanks a lot, this is invaluable information!! I'm downloading Parallel
Studio 2016 update 1 now.
In the meantime another question: The EB file license_file line doesn't
seem to work as expected, I always get an error:
ERROR: Build of /home/camp/ohni/iomkl/icc-2016.3.210-GCC-5.4.0-2.26.eb
failed (err: "build failed (first 300 chars): No viable license
specifications found; specify 'license_file', or define
$INTEL_LICENSE_FILE or $LM_LICENSE_FILE")
I tried to specify:
1. license_file = 'license.lic' # Copy of Intel network license file
2. license_file = 'server.lic' # Network license file
3. First export INTEL_LICENSE_FILE=server.lic
There must be a secret trick to pass the license_file step, but I can't
figure it out :-(

Ake's comment on QM-espresso failing with Intel 2017 sounds
discouraging, and we're using scalapack/blacs as well.
Ake's working suite intel/2016a sounds like a good starting point,
though perhaps Parallel Studio 2016 update 3 ought to be less buggy?
