Hi Andreas,

this is to be expected: MPD is deprecated from version 2017:

https://software.intel.com/en-us/articles/intel-cluster-tools-deprecation-information

It has been replaced with the hydra process manager, which doesn't require
mpdboot. Either use mpirun or mpiexec.hydra instead of mpiexec.

Cheers,
John

Subject: [easybuild] mpdboot in intel/2017a MPI

Hi,

I just noticed that the intel/2017a MPI doesn't have the `mpdboot`
binary. In the intel/2016a one it was present.

Is this to be expected, or is there something wrong with my setup?

If it is expected, what can I do when I have software relying on mpdboot
in scripts?

Cheers for your help,
  Andreas
