Hi Andreas, this is to be expected: MPD is deprecated from version 2017:
https://software.intel.com/en-us/articles/intel-cluster-tools-deprecation-information It has been replaced with the hydra process manager, which doesn't require mpdboot. Either use mpirun or mpiexec.hydra instead of mpiexec.
