Dear John,

The problem here is that EasyBuild is not able to find the easyconfig files that determine how gcccuda/2018b is defined (and hence it doesn't know that GCC/7.3.0-2.30 is a subtoolchain of gcccuda/2018b).

Making sure that the gcccuda-2018b.eb easyconfig file can be found in the robot search path (check with "eb --search") should be sufficient to fix this issue...

regards,

Kenneth

Not sure how fosscuda/gcccuda is resolving dependencies,

Issues when building OpenMPI-3.1.1-gcccuda-2018b.eb  which is a dependency for fosscuda. OpenMPI is built with gcccuda.

Using EasyBuild 3.9.1

WARNING: Failed to determine toolchain hierarchy for gcccuda/2018b when determining subtoolchain for dependency 'zlib': 'Could not find easyconfig for gcccuda toolchain version 2018b'

WARNING: Failed to determine toolchain hierarchy for gcccuda/2018b when determining subtoolchain for dependency 'hwloc': 'Could not find easyconfig for gcccuda toolchain version 2018b'

gcccuda/2018b is built and available.

There are no easyconfigs for zlib-1.2.11-fosscuda-2018b.

gcccuda is built with GCC/7.3.0-2.30

Easybuild should be able to find  (and it is available ) zlib/1.2.11-GCC-7.3.0-2.30  but it does not.

Are we to build zlib and hwloc with gcccuda?
