Thanks for the information. I appreciate the security concerns, although it seems to me that an EasyBuild version could be the best solution. That way I can build a new version as soon as it comes out and deploy it immediately, without having to wait for the package to appear in a given repository. The downside is that I have to make sure I am aware that a new version has appeared and have to disable the old version when I install a new one. For the former I would just subscribe to the Singularity mailing list. What would be the best approach for the latter? Would it be an idea to have a constant, dummy version so that the existing version would simply be replaced by the new version?
