Dear John Dey,
Maybe my custom R-3.6.0-foss-2019a may interest you.

R-3.6.1 is a work in progress. Starting from 3.6.0-foss-2019a EasyUpdate has
found 155 updates and 6 new packages. Are there any open requests to add
libraries to R? I notice that Rstan has become it own EB. Rstan is very popular
and seems like it should be part of the basic R? Any comments?
