Dear EasyBuilders,
I'm happy to announce that the registration for the 5th annual
EasyBuild User Meeting (EUM) is now open.
** Venue & dates **
Parc Tecnològic - Barcelona, Spain
Wed Jan 29th - Fri Jan 31st 2020
** Organization **
HPC-UGent & HPCNow!
** Registration **
Attendance is free, but registration is required for practical purposes.
Register via: https://webappsx.ugent.be/eventManager/events/eum
Registration closed on Wed Jan 15th 2020.
** Agenda **
Right now, the agenda is still pretty empty...
We will gradually extend it in the coming days and weeks.
If you have a suggestion for a talk, presenter or topic (e.g. a
tutorial on a particular topic),
or if you would like to give talk yourself about your experiences with
EasyBuild or about other tools somewhat related to EasyBuild, please
contact [email protected] (or @boegel via Slack/IRC).
For more information, please consult
https://github.com/easybuilders/easybuild/wiki/5th-EasyBuild-User-Meeting
.
** FOSDEM **
We deliberately plan the EUM close to FOSDEM (https://fosdem.org), one
of the largest open source meetings worldwide which is held in
Brussels (Belgium) every year.
Although this year's EUM is not exactly geographically close to
Brussels, it could be interesting to combine both events in your trip.
To facilitate this, the last day of the EUM is planned to end at 1pm,
so people attending FOSDEM can travel comfortably to Brussels on
Friday afternoon/evening.
The HPC devroom at FOSDEM'20 (co-organized by myself) will take place
on Sunday Feb 2nd 2020; see https://hpc-bigdata-fosdem20.github.io/
for more information.
** Question & suggestions **
For questions or suggestions related to the EasyBuild User Meeting (or
FOSDEM), please email [email protected], or contact me (@boegel) on
Slack/IRC.
regards,
Kenneth
