Hi,

I am making an .eb file for POV-RAY, and would love to move it down from
foss/intel 2020b to GCCcore-10.2.0. Unfortunately, one of the dependencies is
in the GCC-10.2.0 toolchain, so that is not possible. If I build it in the
GCC-10.2.0, I can certainly load it together with foss-2020b stuff without ill
effects, but can I also load it with intel-2020b stuff? Loading it pulls in
the GCC/10.2.0 module but does not appear to cause any conflicts.

I guess my question is if it is OK to make it for the GCC-10.2.0 toolchain
only, or if there should be a specific version compatible with intel/2020b (the
iccifort/2020.4.304 toolchain, probably)? It is a binary, not a library
needing to be linked by other packages.

There won't be any conflicts.

GCC/10.2.0 is a trivial bundle of GCCcore/10.2.0 and binutils/2.35 built with GCCcore/10.2.0.

This same combination is also used as a base for the Intel compilers in intel/2020b, so there's no possibilities of conflicts here...

Kenneth
