Thanks. In fact, duckduckgoing +easybuild "keep the build" lead me to https://boegel-eb.readthedocs.io/en/XDG_CONFIG/Release_notes.html This is for EB version 1.16.1 from 2014 :-) I then realised the 'cleanup' was the word I should have been searching for. In the current documentation https://docs.easybuild.io/en/latest/version-specific/help.html it says: --cleanup-builddir Cleanup build dir after successful installation. (default: True; disable with –disable-cleanup-builddir) --cleanup-tmpdir Cleanup tmp dir after successful run. (default: True; disable with –disable-cleanup-tmpdir) There seem to me to be a couple of issues with this: 1. If my attempt to build fails, I might think these are the wrong options, because my installation/run was not successful. It is only successfully if I do a partial build. 2. Should 'installation' be replaced by 'run' for '--cleanup-build' or is there some difference between 'installation' and 'run'?
