Dear eBox Users and Developers!

I use eBox 1.2 with Ubuntu 8.04 64 bit, in a Xen guest.

For nearly a month, I've had a strange error. I have a iSCSI initiator, mounted on /home. Every sunday, somewhere around 6:30 am, my iSCSI disk vanished, leaving me with a lot of I/O error in syslog. I figured out, that it's somehow related to weekly cron jobs, but I still couldn't find, which one.

I tried to solve this findig a "nicer" way of setting up the iSCSI initiator, by putting it into automatic mode, right after networking came up.

There came the next error, probably the reason for the weekly problem: when eBox starts it's modules, it restarts networking. Therefore *any* iSCSI device, what's been already connected before, loose connection, and the device disappear.

I think, that it also affect any other NAS-like storage, like NFS, but I haven't tried it yet.

Please tell, if anyone found something for this, it's really urgent.

Thanks,
Peter
