Hi all,
I was looking for a way to install ebox-platform on a server for one of my clients with the Intel S3000AH as motherboard, it cannot detect the sata hard disks and the ethernet card, IMHO it looks like the kernel is the problem, being too old (based on sarge, ain't it?), infact installing an ubuntu feisty leads to a perfect recognition of the intel based nic and the sata controller (from intel, also), is there the plan to upgrade the base system to a more modern distro? Probably, without switching to an Ubuntu base, Etch would work out of the box, can someone give us an idea of the tie when this upgraded version will be available?

Regarding this problem I also noted on the repository http://www.ebox- platform.com/debian/stable/kernels/, that there are more modern kernels, is there a way to load one of those during installation to let the nic and the sata controller being recognized?

Many thanks for the answers, bye.
