I ran mt-daapd (firefly/itunes server) on my ppc based eBox. Easy to install and configure. The tricky part was getting passed the firewalls. In the end I think one solution was to "hack" them down. There are more elegant ways, too. :^)

MythTV is a media server + other stuff, right? it should work... good luck.

Hi,

I'm trying to work out which way to go on a home server. I want to run DHCP, web filtering, file sharing and maybe a few other bits - from what I've seen Ebox would do this very nicely. I'd also like to run Mythtv in the future.....will I be able to do this on an Ebox machine??

Thanks,

Anthony
