For what it's worth something that happened to me during install... when I installed 0.0.99 I had a network problem, too. I originally had a dhcp server and the box fetched the ip address and when I went into ebox configuration and changed the ip address to static which worked fine but I couldn't get it to stick after reboot so I finally realized that I had to change the /etc/network/interfaces to reflect my new network settings.

I know the computer and its NIC are okay because I install make a normal Debian Etch installation without issue. I thought the problem might be confusion caused by a second NIC, so I removed that NIC, but with the same results .... Any ideas what might be causing the problem? Thanks in advance for any help.
