Hi Richard.

I think you got a way more easy to configure this through eBoxs web. I
don't really tested this, but I guess that works.
You should use the HTTP Proxy in Transparent mode and block all MIME
TYPES, with this you get prohibit all web traffic, then you must add the
domains what you want grant access in Allow Domains. Save changes and
it´s all.

Saludos

Hello,
in the upcoming new version there is a reworking of the HTTP proxy
module which among other things lets you to ban all domains which aren't
listed.

In the man time you may do it manually - but we aware that in the future
the upgrade of http-proxy module will erase this changes.
To do so:
 - open the file /usr/share/ebox/stubs/squid/bannedsitelist.mas
  - search the following paragraph:

# Blanket Block. To block all sites except those in the
# exceptionsitelist and greysitelist files remove
# the # from the next line to leave only a '**':
#**

 - uncomment the #** line
 - now all domains which aren't in the accept/deny list are
automatically denied

Cheers,
  Javier
