Thank you very much, Nicolas, I’ll try to set the gateways.

By the way, are you Brazillian too?! What kind of links do you use?! I
initially planned to use ADSL, but it seems that eBox doesn’t provide PPP
interfaces yet.

Regards,

Hi,

i believe what you are looking for is to setup two gateways on ebox.
as i understand, ebox uses both connections and it one fails it will remain
connected via the live one, transparently as far as users are concerned. so
far it has worked for me.

good to see that ebox is being adopt in Minas.

Nicolas

Subject: [Ebox-user] Two Links Doubt

Hello, fellow eBox users!

I’m with a little doubt to install eBox on my servers. I have two cable
links at my office, one at 4Mbps and another at 1Mbps. I’m wondering if I
can do a High Availability system under eBox. This is how it should work:

The 4M link would be the ‘master’ link, and the 1M, the ‘slave’ link. Can I
elaborate some way to tell eBox that when the 4M link is down, the 1M start
working?! And when the ‘master’ link is back, the system does the turn-back
to him.

Any help on this?!

Thanks in advance,
