Good day,
I have the latest e-Box 11.2 installed in quite a big network with lots of computers and printers with a domain controller and only 1 admin and the rest of the users are all limited users without Admin rights. Now, I have a few printers installed on a few workstations as shared printers. One printer per workstation. The users that works on these computers are all limited users (not administrators). These computers are all in the Staff room and there are about 20 computers in the staff room. There are 5 workstations each with a printer connected to it spread over the staff room. What I did was to log on with a user's account and I added the shared printer as their default printer. I logged off and logged back on another workstation and saw that the printer is not installed anymore. This means I basically have to log on with each profile on each computer and set up the printers so that it keep the settings. So, I tried to make use of the eBox printer. But no luck as I have absolutely no idea how to work with it. Obviously to add these shared printers to eBox I need to add a samba printer but when I get to the screen where it asked me for the Shared Resource, I am confused as I have tried the shared namne of the printer, the IP address of the PC where the printer is connected to as well as the name of the PC where the printer is connected to. Not any of the above worked and when I try to print to these printers nothing happens. The print job disappears as it thought it is printing but nothing. Please help me with the above. Then I also have problems when I try to download the backups from the web interface. As soon as I click on the download link next to the backup description, or if I try to delete a backup, I get the following error: Your request could not be processed because it lacked some required parameters I have no idea what that could mean. Thanks for all your help. Appreciate it. Regards, Johan
