I'm trying a similar task, taking an ebox server that has been running for
just under a year as debian, and testing the migration path to ubuntu. Now
my reason for transferring from has to do with a nss-ldap bug in debian that
showed up on a recent upgrade, and some other hardware issues. So far on my
tests the backup of the configuration comes through, however when I restore
only the last 4 users (added after an ebox update) show up on the restore.
Network settings seem to be lost, but most everything else transfers. I'll
pull up more exact info when I'm working on the systems again, and I need to
pickup on these lists.
Anyway thanks for a great product, I'm hoping it lasts years to come.
