Thanks for reporting these issues between Ubuntu Server and Virtualbox.

You're right there. We have planned to give more integration between
dhcp, dns and network objects in order to set host details in just one
place.

server-name option is already available under "DHCP -> Advanced options
-> Thin client -> Next server". Regarding to advanced options, it could
be a good idea but it may face against ease-to-use eBox philosophy and
many options may overwhelm the user.

Currently, lastest eBox versions only support Ubuntu. We have come from
debian sarge. We think it's not difficult to give support for Debian
stable releases but it is hard to say more than this.
