Hello, I am migrating a server to ebox. I started with a fresh hardy-ebox livecd install (downloaded from ebox site), and updated regularly.
My problem is samba share: i created 2 accounts with password using ebox web frontend. When I try to connect via an Ubuntu desktop pc or a windows xp pro to the share, i cannot go past password window. I looked in /var/log/samba/ and found several of these lines: [2008/07/16 22:48:37, 0] passdb/passdb.c:lookup_global_sam_name(596) User roberto with invalid SID S-1-5-21-3818554400-921237426-3143208535-5012 in passdb My user is obviously "roberto". I tried changing password, but no improvements. The user is only in ldap, there's no /etc/passwd user roberto. Could be a /home/samba privilege problem? As of now, they are 755 to root:root. I tried 777 with no luck.
