I have 3 different wireless computers on the local network. Each one fails to connect to the EchoServer on Startup. 1 system is Windows XP home SP2. 2 are Windows2k SP4. I used 2 Win XP pro SP2 hardwired systems. These 2 connect on startup with no problem. Program works beautifully. Keep up the good work!
I can manually startup each one with no problems. When I reboot the echoserver is not connected to. I checked the EchoWinVNc.log. Here is a portion with the Failed Connection on top followed by a manual connection. > 18/12/2006 10:27:59.081 LoadFromRegistry <HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE> > 18/12/2006 10:27:59.121 Failed resolve DNS demo.echovnc.com > 18/12/2006 10:27:59.121 0 echoSevice's have been found > 18/12/2006 10:27:59.121 SetLocalProxyinfo( IP=, port=, username=, > password=) > 18/12/2006 10:27:59.121 ConnectToAllInSeparatedThread() calling from > WinMain() - 'Run WinVNC as a service' > 18/12/2006 10:27:59.121 > CConnectionData::ConnectToAllInSeparatedThread(), m_uiSleepValue = 2000 > 18/12/2006 10:27:59.221 Beging of > CConnectionData::ConnectionThread(), m_uiSleepValue = 2000 > 18/12/2006 10:28:01.725 ReConnectAll() calling from > vncServer::SockConnect() > 18/12/2006 10:34:47.999 InitializeProxyDll has been success > 18/12/2006 10:34:53.076 Destruction of ~CConnectionData() -> > it->Disconnect(); > 18/12/2006 10:36:25.148 Destruction of ~CConnectionData() -> > it->Disconnect(); > 18/12/2006 10:36:28.663 InitializeProxyDll has been success > 18/12/2006 10:36:28.663 LoadFromRegistry <HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE> > 18/12/2006 10:36:28.744 1 echoSevice's have been found > 18/12/2006 10:36:28.754 IP 66.135.32.141, port 1328, ID > ROGE-WIN2K, password demo2005 > 18/12/2006 10:36:28.754 SetLocalProxyinfo( IP=, port=, username=, > password=) > 18/12/2006 10:36:28.754 ConnectToAllInSeparatedThread() calling from > WinMain() - 'Run WinVNC as a service' > 18/12/2006 10:36:28.754 > CConnectionData::ConnectToAllInSeparatedThread(), m_uiSleepValue = 2000 > 18/12/2006 10:36:28.854 Beging of > CConnectionData::ConnectionThread(), m_uiSleepValue = 2000 > 18/12/2006 10:36:29.705 ReConnectAll() calling from > vncServer::SockConnect() > 18/12/2006 10:36:30.857 LoginToEchoServer() calling from > CConnectionData::ConnectionThread() > 18/12/2006 10:36:30.857 TryLoginToEchoServer() calling from > LoginToEchoServer() > 18/12/2006 10:36:30.857 ***Attempt Login To Echo Server: IP > 66.135.32.141, port 1328, ID ROGE-WIN2K, password demo2005, > OffLoadPort 5900 > 18/12/2006 10:36:30.867 Proxy Info Object has been created > 18/12/2006 10:36:30.867 SetIP( 66.135.32.141 ) > 18/12/2006 10:36:30.867 SetPort( 1328 ) > 18/12/2006 10:36:30.867 SetMyID( ROGE-WIN2K ) > 18/12/2006 10:36:30.867 SetPassword( demo2005 ) > 18/12/2006 10:36:30.867 SetEncryptionLevel( 0 ) > 18/12/2006 10:36:30.867 SetSocketTimeout( iConnectTimeout 30, > iSendTimeout 30, iRecvTimeout 30 ) > 18/12/2006 10:36:30.867 Success SetPortForOffLoadingData 5900 > 18/12/2006 10:36:30.867 Login: before ConnectProxy() > 18/12/2006 10:36:32.499 Login: after ConnectProxy() > 18/12/2006 10:36:32.499 Login Successed > 18/12/2006 10:36:57.615 InitializeProxyDll has been success > 18/12/2006 10:37:02.672 Destruction of ~CConnectionData() -> > it->Disconnect(); I installed EchoVNC and it connects at startup with no problems. . I suspect the delay in the wireless connection prevents DNS server being ready when UltraVNC-EW has started. In order to cause a delay I created several dependencies in the registry by adding DepondOnService to the Winvnc registry entry. That did not seem to help. If I could remove the Tray Icon of EchoVNC I might be able to go that route. I really do not want any icons in the tray to be tampered with. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
