Heyaz. Hoping there are some interested beta-testers out there for
an RDP (aka, MS Terminal Services) tunneling application, based on
echoWare. Installer is here:

ftp://ftp.echogent.com/ServerMirror/bin/serverMirror_1.20_setup.zip

Actually...it can be used to tunnel anything (hence the name!). But
the default is RDP.

        Here's how to work it:

1. Install serverMirror on both the server and client side. May require
a reboot, to get the icon running in the service tray.

2. Once the service is running, right click on the icon, select
"echoServer
Properties", and sign onto an echoServer.

3. Right click on the icon, select "Properties" and choose the TCP
port UDP port you want to "mirror". By default, it's TCP 3389 (used
for Remote Desktop'ing).

4. On the client-side, fire up a web-browser and "aim" it at your PC.
The serverMirror application has a web-server "built-in", that's how
it serves up its GUI.

5. As you can see from the "index.html" return, you can append a
simple "?getList" request to see who is available to connect with,
on the echoServer you're logged into. Entries are listed in the form
"userID:appID", where "appID" is "SM" for serverMirror, and "VNC"
for EchoVNC.

6. If you click on one of the partner names with an "SM" appID,
serverMirror will initiate a connection, and return a local TCP port
number (e.g., 1234). Anything you now "do" to 1234 will be securely
mirrored to the remote server.

7. For example, startup an RDP client (eg, Start -> Run -> mstsc),
and connect to "127.0.0.1:1234" (or whatever the returned port number
is). You should now have a pretty solid remote desktop connection.

As said above, ServerMirror can be used to "mirror" pretty much
any type of server: VNC, RDP, HTTP, whatever. And if you're feeling
especially industrious, the GUI is just HTML, so you can whip up
anything you prefer looking at.

I hope you find it useful! Source code is of course available.
