David: Heya. Some answers:
1,2: The RAdmin developers indicated that it only uses TCP, not UDP at all. So the performance is most likely due to the added latency of an echoServer connection. VNC deals with that pretty well, maybe RAdmin simply doesn't. 3: In my mind, the EchoVNC Viewer is already a lightweight VNC Viewer, as it only needs itself and the echoWare DLL to operate. You can put those into a folder on a USB disk, and it'll run from there. I have no idea how portable the RAdmin viewer is, though. 4. EchoVNC also supports Remote Desktop, which does support remote printing (and sound). Of course, MSFT doesn't enable RDP on all of their OS's; that would be too easy. :) 5. As far as I know, InstantVNC does not attempt to load the Mirage driver (we don't use UltraVNC's Mirror driver anymore, as it wasn't actually open-source). 6. I've never posted on RAdmin's forums; I probably should, to mention the EchoVNC release. cheers, Scott On Dec 26, 2007, at 11:13 AM, [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: > Scott: > > (or anyone else who is interested!) > > Previously I corresponded with you on a few questions regarding > radmin.
