Hey Scott! Ah so that's why I've been having troubles lately. :o) However, I think it might be time for me to setup my own echoserver after being a freeloader for quite some time now.
So a couple of questions: 1. I currently use the demoserver on port 443 as my company's firewall is blocking for everything else. If I want to setup the echoserver on my computer at home on the same port should I then just port forwared 443 to the local IP address? Would this give me any other problems regards using the internet or so? 2. How much bandwidth does the echoserver need? I have a 20 mbit connection but have some heavy internet traffic from time to time. Will that be a problem? 3. What about the general performace of the machine running the echoserver? Will the connections be "slow" if the machine is multitasking a lot? 4. Are there any papers on how to set up the echoserver or is it just a "next" and "next" installation? Have a nice weekend! There'll be a bit of confusion with the demo servers as I make some adjustments here. The "old" one is still available, but at "demo2.echovnc.com". And the "new" one at "demo.echovnc.com" doesn't seem to be stable yet. :) Each still work with passwords of "demo2007" and "demo2008". cheers, Scott ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Check out the new SourceForge.net Marketplace.
