Well, the Android platform is basically Linux+Java. Android apps are
written in Java, and there is a pure Java EchoServer library available now.

You may recall an announcement about a cross-platform Java EchoVNC
viewer - I did most of the work on that project.

I have Eclipse and the Android SDK, and just a few days ago, I took
delivery of a shiny new HTC MyTouch 4G, so I even have a real Android
device on which to test my apps. :)

It would seem that I'd be the best person to tackle this project. I am
not sure when I'd be able to start, but I'd definitely be interested in
doing it.
