Hello! Version 1.67 of EchoServer for Linux is now available: http://www.echogent.com/download_echoserverlinux.htm or ftp://ftp.echogent.com/EchoServer/linux/bin
The primary focus of this release is improved stability with very large connection count (1,000 to 10,000 users). As described in the README file, the limiting feature of your Linux PC (in terms of how many echoWare clients it will accept) is the maximum number of open files. To see that limit: % ulimit -a To change that limit, try this command as root, prior to starting up your echoServer: # ulimit -n 4096 For upgrading users, any registration keys you have for earlier releases still work in this one; just swap in the new binary into your existing installation. Comments or suggestions welcome. cheers, Scott ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Enable your software for Intel(R) Active Management Technology to meet the growing manageability and security demands of your customers.
