Thanks for the several messages of encouragement and feedback so far. Hopefully I heard something of what you said; the BETA5 release of InstantVNC 2.0 is now available:
ftp://ftp.echogent.com/EchoVNC/windows/bin/ Most of the changes involve how the "auto-start at reboot" option behaves (i.e., when you install InstantVNC as a Windows service). This version installs the files into a more standard place, and handles the transition from the Windows desktop to a secure screen (i.e., the Cntrl-Alt-Del screen or the Windows login screen) better. In the next release, I hope to be able to say "and vice-versa". :) Been testing here on WinXP 32-bit and Win7 Home Premium 64-bit.
