I have the same problem with my modem using the wrong synchxx.bin file. As stated in the modem compatibility section of http://eciadsl.flashtux.org my ASUS AAM6000UG does work with synch02.bin and synch15.bin. I am in Italy with Telecom and this modem works with synch02.bin only. If I try using the other one I get the same errors you do. Try and find which is the right synchxx.bin file for your ISP/modem.
