Hi Sebastien,

did you get in contact with someone who develops the USB subsytem for
Linux? Maybe it's related to the way this subsystem works (I'm guessing
without any idea of what I am talking about ;-)

I'm totally new to these drivers and I need some time in order to understand
what lays behind the scenes. I am totally new to USB devices too, how they
work in Linux (and on other OSs too) and how to better let them work but ...
I'm hungry for knowledge ... ... ok, yes, just curiosity :-)

I think that my next step is to use Benoit's SniffUSB in order to get a new
synchxx.bin file despite my modem refuses to work with the ECI drivers for
Windows recommanded at http://eciadsl.flashtux.org/docbin-en.txt .

As I understand usermode eci drivers do use usbdevfs and the kernelmode
drivers will not. Is there any intention in going on with the usermode
drivers or will your entire energies be involved in following the kernelmode
project in the near future?

What modem do you use? Is it the "Hi FocusECI Telecom" printed in your
logo on the WebSite?
I attached a file representing the Asus AAM6000UG with flashing lights (it's
the same gif used in flashtux website but with flashing lights showing how
it does while initializing). You can use it on the web :-) it's also smaller
(18.878 bytes) then the original one (19.357 bytes).
