I am using
Eclipse: 3.1.2
EclipseME: 1.5.5
WTK: 2.2
SonyEricsson SDK: 2.2.4
OS: Windows XP (SP2 et al.)
I am having problems debugging my app in the emulator - it runs fine -
just not if I try to debug. What seems to happen is the debugger starts
ok, and I see:
Connecting to 127.0.0.1 on port 2800
Waiting for KVM...
Waiting for debugger on port 1804
Running with storage root SonyEricsson_W800_Emu Connected to KVM
Connection received.
But then nothing. It seems that the app has just hung. However I can
suspend the emulator in the Debug pane, and it all looks fine - there
are threads in sensible looking places and suchlike. If I click resume
then the app seems to progress a tiny bit and then hang again. If I hit
Step Over it just sits there with "System Thread [KVM_main] (Stepping)"
displayed. If I suspend again I see the app has moved on a few lines.
All very odd. When it does progress it never stops at breakspoints I
set.
In workspace .log I see

But only once. It doesn't seem to occur each time I hit Suspend or
Resume.
I should say I have never successfully got debugging going in the
emulator. I have also tried with a Hello World midlet and that has the
same behaviour. Also if I retarget the test midlet at the WTK
DefaultColorPhone I see the same behaviour, so it doesn't seem to be an
issue with SonyEricsson SDK
