Hi, I apologise for the slightly off-topic post, but thought this would
be a good place to ask...

I'm building location-based stuff; currently I'm using the IBM j9 JVM on
an HP iPAQ 6515 as a development platform, and 'rolling my own'
location code. But I'd like to build my MIDlets so that they are
compatible with JSR179 where available, so what I shall probably do is
build an open source implementation of at least a subset of JSR 179 for
the iPAQ.

HOWEVER, are there actually devices out there which support JSR 179? If
there aren't (and aren't going to be), then the extra architectural
overhead probably isn't worth it. I've been hunting Nokia's,
Motorola's, Samsung's and Siemen's websites today and so far haven't
found any models either current or announced that support JSR 179 out
of the box.

Anyone?

Cheers

Simon
