Ron,

As you've seen, the editor is not well integrated with the preprocessing 
functionality.  I'm not sure how far this will be able to go..  For your 
example, there is a very simple solution:

        public MyConstructor(MIDlet m) {
                _midlet = m;
//#ifdef FULLSCREEN
                setFullScreenMode(true);        
//#endif

        }


I realize this is a somewhat obvious example, but in general it should 
be applicable no matter what.  You should be able to make the editor 
relatively happy and still express your outcome.
