ok, been trying to run some apps. They work on a real java phone, but when I
try to execute them in eclipse via the emulator, the emulator pops up, then
disappears, even when it's an app that's supposed to keep running. I've
tried Thread.sleep() delays, and nothing will get it to stay up. Whenever I
switch toolkits, I get the error "Set Platform Failed Reason: No Message"
details reveals "java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException". The output in
the console whenever I run a midlet shows up to this effect:
709818 bytecodes executed
2 thread switches
742 classes in the system (including system classes)
3614 dynamic objects allocated (98544 bytes)
1 garbage collections (0 bytes collected)

what am I doing wrong?
