Folks

Relating to this "getting started" thread: I don't know if this is of
any use, but I have documented the process of installing, testing the
whole tool chain (Java, Eclipse, WTK, MTJ), writing the first MIDlet etc.

http://www.acutetechnology.com/projects/J2ME/index

This is because I wanted to record how I had done it for my own future
reference (so I didn't have to go back to basics on a new installation)
and in the hope that it might be of help to others. I am also
accumulating tutorials on other subjects that I am intested in: NFC,
Java Card, and the motorola G24 embedded computer. It is not complete,
but possibly a useful start.
