Sorry for the late answer, but it took some time to fix this. There were
several problems, all of them concentrated around the new facility for
bytecompiling source files.
As you may understand, bytecompiling is the only possibility to make
COMPILE+LOAD work in a statically linked ECL, but this had not yet been
fully tested.
I still cannot assure 100% that all files bytecompiled by ECL work properly,
but at least the statically linked version of ECL builds now.
