Just letting you know to justify my frequent silences in the coming days
(22nd till 15th)
I will keep working on the mutexes: the wakeup/scheduler is almost
finished, but the details with POSIX signals are tricky and I would like to
simplify the implementation. For the same price I believe the same code
implements condition variables.
Incidentally, I also got rid of many calls to the global locks, and
transitioned some things to lock-free code (for instance the CLOS cache)
based on atomic operations. But this time I will not upload anything until
it all proves to be stable.
