Have you tried wrapping the executable in a script to see whether it
produces any error?

I tried this and it works for me, but the executable also does with Apache2
on OS X.

Also, you might consider adding a (quit) statement at the end of your
script or otherwise ECL might complain, or produce a prompt or something
else, depending on the version of MAKE-BUILD.
