The following issue has been started.

Project: Nuxeo Enterprise Platform 5
Components: Query / Search
Fix Versions: 5.1 M3

 Description   
Requirement:

  - Backend for NXQL queries in the content

  - Index documentmodel from NXCore

  - Configurable mapping/indexes per field

 I think we should seriously consider using Compass on this (see: http://www.opensymphony.com/compass/ ).
