The notifications proposed for forum and discussion type are the one proposed by default for a document and some (workflow change and aprobation review started for instance) are senseless in this case.
I don't know how the modification behaves in this case, maybe it maps one of those cases listed below :
- at the Forum level, be notified when :
- a discussion is created
- a new message has been posted (if it is easy)
- at the discussion level, be notified when :
- a messge is posted.
