Current 4.0.4 does use a Servlet class that does not exists anymore in 4.0.5.
Simply changing the binding solves the error and makes the Bean callable via WS.
The Bean needs to be injected (for some strange reason it was in the last
version)

Last problem to solve is jbossws messing up the web.xml ...
